I got a 73" Ikea worktop as my desk. I got an Alex unit for one side and built a shelf type thing for the other. I didn't bother with a middle leg at all. But it depends how far apart you put the supports I guess. Mine are pulled in a bit toward the middle. I don't think it would sag.
